Natural Newborn Photography

Natural Newborn Photography

Did you know? I also offer natural newborn photography.  This is a much more relaxed style, where baby is photographed using soft whites.  Parents love this style of newborn photography because I photograph baby doing what baby does. The yawns, the stretches, the expressions.  Your baby does not need to be asleep for the session and it takes much less time than a stylised newborn photography session.  Now I love both stylised and natural photography, but I fully appreciate that clients love one or other other – and as I love both styles, I’ve decided to offer both styles.

I tend to use soft whites for this natural newborn photography style and often I photograph baby in just a plain vest. Simple is beautiful and this style of photography ensures I capture exactly what your baby was doing at this stage in his or her life.   Parents tell me that they love to look back on these images as a “story of their newborn”.

Here’s a natural image of a mother and baby I photographed recently.  I love the connection here between mother and baby. The pure love which is evident and the protective hands.   This is such a beautiful memory which evokes the emotions of security, protectiveness, love, tranquility – and motherhood.        I’ve chosen to show black and white because I’m a real lover of black and white photography.   This photograph will look superb on the wall, either as a beautiful block, fine art canvas or a framed.  It’s a forever memory of the protective nature and pure love this mother will always have towards her child, a protective nature which is inherent right from the very start.   You can almost hear her thinking “I’ll always love you, I’ll always keep you safe no matter what.”
