SHORT COVERAGE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY – WHY IT’S THE PERFECT CHOICE FOR INTIMATE WEDDINGS.

Short coverage wedding photography is perfect for smaller weddings.    This offers a more focused, efficient, and budget-friendly option. In this post, I’ll explore the numerous benefits of short coverage wedding photography for more intimate weddings and why it could be the perfect choice for your wedding day.

COST EFFECTIVENESS

One of the most significant advantages of short coverage wedding photography is the cost saving.   With short coverage, typically around 3 hours, you can reduce the overall cost of your photography package while still getting high-quality photographs.   If you’re on a tight budget, opting for a shorter coverage period allows you to allocate your funds to other areas of the wedding, such as decor, food, or entertainment, without sacrificing memories of the day.

PERFECT FOR SMALLER INTIMATE WEDDINGS

Short coverage wedding photography is ideal for smaller, intimate weddings.   It isn’t really suitable if you have a larger wedding as you will want most of your guests photographed, and there are always many guests.  Therefore a shorter coverage is perfect for registry office or other smaller weddings.  If you’re planning a more relaxed wedding with a small guest list, you don’t need hours of coverage. Short coverage allows you to capture the most important moments of your day without any unnecessary fluff. It’s the perfect choice for couples who want to keep their wedding day simple yet still want professional images that reflect the beauty of their celebration.

FLEXIBILITY AND CUSTOMIZATION

With shorter wedding photography packages, you have the flexibility to customize your experience.   My clients can always add additional time for specific moments (such as a longer post-ceremony portrait session). You have the power to tailor the photography to your needs, ensuring you get the images that matter most to you.

MORE EFFICIENT POST-PRODUCTION TIME

With a shorter shoot, there is less footage to edit, which means I can deliver your final images more quickly.  If I’m shooting a full day wedding with lots of guests then I will have hundreds  of photographs to go through, which can delay the editing process. With short coverage, I can focus on a smaller set of images, resulting in faster turnaround times. This means you can enjoy your photographs sooner.

MINIMAL DISRUPTION FOR A SMALLER WEDDING

Having a photographer present for fewer hours means less intrusion into your wedding day.  During a full day large wedding I would normally need to be with you from the early morning preparations until the late-night celebrations. A short coverage photographer can be scheduled around the most essential events, ensuring that your day remains as uninterrupted as possible. With less time spent posing for photos, you’ll have more freedom to enjoy the day with your friends and family.

PERFECT FOR NON-TRADITIONAL WEDDINGS

If you’re planning a non-traditional wedding or elopement, short coverage is a great option. Smaller ceremonies or unique events that don’t follow the typical wedding schedule may not require a full-day photographer. A short coverage package allows me to capture your special day in a way that reflects your unique style without the need for a traditional, full-day approach.

IS SHORT COVERAGE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY RIGHT FOR YOU?

Short coverage wedding photography offers numerous benefits, from affordability to flexibility, while still delivering stunning  images that tell the story of your big day. Whether you’re planning a smaller celebration, a non-traditional wedding, or just prefer a more laid-back approach, short coverage is an excellent way to document your day.
