Milestone Photography Sessions are photography sessions where I capture your baby’s important milestone. This could be at six months when they are sitting and/or when they reach one as a first birthday portrait session. They are always superb sessions – usually a lot of fun, and create the most fantastic memories.
One thing I don’t carry out is cake smash sessions. I have to love what I do in order to create great results – and I’m just not a lover of cake and smeared icing and buttercream all over a baby’s face for photographs. Don’t misunderstand me – it can be very cute – but it’s just not my style. Of course you are welcome to bring a cake – and we can take some lovely portraits with the cake, and then some of baby alone. If, however, you want icing and cake smeared all over your baby’s face for photographs then I’m afraid I’m not the photographer for you!
Here’s a few gorgeous shots of a one year old I photographed a couple of weeks ago. I adore his expressions. The images are clean with the focus entirely on the baby, so I don’t tend to use balloon arches. Clients sometimes like to bring a couple of balloons which can look lovely – and I always recommend white.
One year old’s often don’t keep still and will be crawling everywhere. I love to capture crawling shots but often those babies are super fast! When that happens I pop them in a very shallow bowl and they absolutely love it. You can see from the image below how much this little one year old loved sitting and climbing out of the bowl!
